Job Title: Project Controller - Accounting
Type: Contract
Location: Pearland, TX
Experience: 5 years
The Project Controller is responsible for the contractual and financial management in Customer Service
Business area, mainly throughout the project's execution phase. The role will work closely with
Operations and Accounting, to ensure proper financial setup and oversee financial health by analyzing
costs, revenue, and risks for CSB Projects.
Roles & Responsibilities• Foster an environment of teamwork, compliance, and continual improvement• Adhere to the Company's objectives, i.e. Safety, Quality, Environmental and Information
Security• Responsible to establish required WBS Structure in SAP based on projects scope requirements• Responsible for Customer Registration, Sales Order Booking, Billing Structure• Leads project closure in SAP (TECO) and supports lessons learned reviews from cost
management function• Support responsible Project Manager on periodical financial review to monitor project schedule,
cost (planned vs actual, cost to complete) and to maximize project margin• Assist Accounting team in ensuring revenue and cost are timely and accurately recognized• Prepare monthly/quarterly reports (Sales Order report, Monthly Financial Forecast, Quarterly
financial review, etc.)• Develop processes and tools to improve knowledge and efficiencies within the teams related to
variance reporting and analysis• Optimize project cash flow by overseeing invoicing and collections activities• Support ad hoc analysis & other duties as assigned to improve the performance of project
controlling function• Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or
without notice
Requirements• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other business-related field• Over 5 years of experience in SAP (SAP FICO, SD, PS Module preferred)• Excellent MS-Excel skills to develop, analyze and assess financial reports (e.g. Pivot Tables,
Macros, Formulas, etc.)• Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines• Driven, detailed, and goal-oriented individual with strong cost analysis• Strong sense of ownership & accountability• Ability to devise solutions based upon the data
