Worksite Setting: HospitalProvide orthopedic coverage for Level II trauma center, including ED consultations, reductions, splinting/casting, and any indicated operative proceduresProvide orthopedic coverage for in patients with acute musculoskeletal conditionsThe definitive surgical treatment of pelvic and/or acetabulum fractures is not expected but provisional stabilization with skeletal traction, external fixation, and/or application of pelvic binders is in scopeNo outpatient clinic responsibilitiesProvide guidance and oversight of orthopedic trauma APPs who assist with the Orthopedic Trauma Service and who serve as "first call" for the serviceRequirements
Active NC LicenseDEABoard CertifiedOrtho Trauma Fellowship - PreferredMust be comfortable with the evaluation and provisional and/or definitive treatment for acute traumatic injuries commonly seen at Level II trauma centersMust have experience with the evaluation and treatment of the most common, bread-and-butter musculoskeletal conditions resulting in inpatient consultationEMR
