We are looking for a skilled Mobile Building Engineer to perform technical and mechanical functions for the purpose of operating property plant and equipment to achieve maximum energy efficiency, cost effectiveness, and engineering services to the building portfolio and its tenants. This person will be responsible for the operations and maintenance of all assigned buildings.
Responsibilities:Comply with all EPA, OSHA & ASHRAE rules, requirements, procedures and industry and Company safety guidelines.Perform all necessary preventive maintenance tasks on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire control and building management systems; conduct monthly maintenance inspections as assigned and completing them on timeConduct Site inspections to include roof, mechanical & electrical rooms as assignedTroubleshoot and repair facility systems including HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, minor electrical, and preventive and corrective maintenance tasksCommunicates effectively and clearly often with facility managers, tenants, vendors, employees, and visitorsProvides recommendations/guidance on equipment upgrades and facility improvementsDaily local travel between assigned propertiesMaintain a neat, clean professional appearance at all times, repair or replace worn or stained uniforms as neededMaintain an inventory of all tools, equipment, and vehicles issued.Interact with client/tenants in a professional mannerImmediately inform Regional Operations Manager of any problems.Assist in coordinating the completion of any construction projects.Assist in natural disaster recovery effortsMust be able to read and write English in order to understand manuals, procedures and written instructionsMust be comfortable in using mobile device or laptop to access work order system, building systems, and use emailHandle other duties as assignedDesired Competency, Experience and Skills:
Training and certification in HVAC or Operating Engineer technologies and/or job-related training and experience2 years of field experience or equivalent technical trainingCFC training and certification or ability to obtain certification for the type of refrigerant serviced, preferredContinuing education in fieldStrong mechanical aptitudeAbility to work independently with routine supervisionBasic computer skills necessary to operate Building Automation SystemsFamiliarity with OSHA, NEC and NFC codes and regulationsEssential Functions:
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.Work from heightsVerify colorsAbility to climb 28 ft. ladders routinely
This position is
100% in-office . The role requires working in office during standard business hours. Remote work or telecommuting is not an option for this position.
