To Apply for this Job Click HereJob Description:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Database Administrator (DBA) with a strong focus on Microsoft SQL Server and a foundation in Cassandra. This role is pivotal in supporting our IT Supply Chain operations, managing a diverse database environment across multiple distribution centers. The ideal candidate will possess excellent troubleshooting skills, a solid understanding of database performance tuning, and a customer-facing mindset to ensure high responsiveness and reliability.Key Responsibilities:* Database Management: Oversee the administration of 250 databases, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security in both SQL Server and Oracle environments.* Support Operations: Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24\/7 support for critical database environments, ensuring swift resolution of issues and minimal downtime.* Performance Tuning: Conduct performance tuning and automation to enhance database efficiency, utilizing industry best practices and tools.* Scripting & Automation: Develop and implement scripts in PowerShell and Python to streamline database maintenance tasks, monitoring, and performance tuning.* Collaboration: Work closely with application developers, network engineers, and system administrators to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in high availability and high transactional systems.* Data Integrity & Compliance: Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations, implementing backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.* Scaling Solutions: Design and implement scaling solutions for database clusters to support growth and meet performance demands.* Installation & Configuration: Oversee the installation, configuration, patching, and upgrading of SQL Server and Cassandra database systems.* Customer Interaction: Engage with stakeholders in IT Supply Chain to understand requirements, provide insights, and ensure database solutions align with business objectives.Qualifications:* Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.* Experience: 5-7 years of experience in database administration, with a strong focus on SQL Server and Oracle environments; foundational experience with Cassandra and PostgreSQL is preferred.* Technical Skills:o Proficiency in SQL Server and Oracle database management systems.o Experience with Cassandra and PostgreSQL.o Strong scripting skills in PowerShell and Python for automation and maintenance.o Solid understanding of high availability, performance tuning, and database backup\/recovery strategies.* Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and interact with customers.* Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues in high transactional systems.Benefits:* Competitive salary and benefits package.* Flexible work environment.* Opportunities for professional development and growth.
