Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Android Developer who is local to Texas, with strong experience in Kotlin, Java, and Android application development. The ideal candidate will excel in building user-centric Android applications using modern frameworks and design principles. This role focuses on creating robust Android solutions, and requires technical expertise in Kotlin, MVVM, and Jetpack Compose, as well as experience with asynchronous programming using Kotlin Coroutines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement Android applications with a focus on user experience and functionality.
• Develop UIs using Jetpack Compose and manage asynchronous processes with Kotlin Coroutines.
• Integrate remote data sources via REST and JSON.
• Conduct unit tests for code reliability, covering edge cases and usability.
• Collaborate with the team to optimize app performance and functionality.
Required Qualifications:
• Proficiency in Android (50%), Kotlin (30%), and Java (20%).
• Strong experience in Java, MVVM, Kotlin Coroutines, Compose, Dagger, RxJava, JUnit, Mockito, and Git.
• Knowledge of Jetpack Compose, Room, and Navigation components.
• Experience in Android UI fundamentals including layouts, animations, and design patterns like MVP and MVVM.
• Familiarity with architectural patterns and Gang of Four design patterns.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with additional Jetpack components such as Room and Navigation.
Certifications:
• Relevant Android or Kotlin certifications are a plus.
