Position Summary
:
The Branch Operations Intern is responsible for supporting the Branch Operations team in daily tasks and functions. This role involves working closely with our staff to gain hands-on experience in managing membership transactions, ensuring compliance with documentation standards, processing membership requests, performing accurate data entry, and resolving member inquiries. The Branch Operations Intern will work on a specific project, collaborating closely with staff gaining knowledge about membership transaction compliance and documentation. This internship provides a comprehensive understanding of branch operations and compliance, providing an engaging and educational experience in a fast-paced work environment.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
• Assists in reviewing implemented processes with a focus on validating ESign Quality Assurance and signature card execution, ensuring all branch procedures are accurately followed and documents are reviewed for accuracy before approval.
• Ensure adherence to specific timelines, provide regular updates on the status of assigned project.
• Responsible for learning and utilizing the tools and systems used within Branch Operations to understand their impact on the business operations of Everwise Credit Union.
• Responsible for advancing the learning and skills for oneself to gain experience for building a resume for career advancement.
• Assumes additional responsibilities as necessary for the continued growth and advancement of the Credit Union.
Knowledge/Skills:
• Highly accurate data entry skills and detail orientated in research.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Ability to prioritize projects and day to day activities to meet individual deadlines
• Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook).
Minimum Requirements:
• High School diploma or GED
• Currently attending a college or university and have taken intermediate level courses providing a foundational understanding of business operations, financial principles, and management practices.
