Senior Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a well known organization in the Kansas City Metro area, that is looking to add to their team for a Senior Accountant.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the review of accounts payable and receipting entries completed by Specialists.
Generate accounts receivable invoices as needed for designated units.
Process, code, and record complex invoices and reimbursement requests.
File monthly sales tax returns for units as required.
Prepare and input journal entries in accordance with established accounting procedures.
Conduct bank account reconciliations for non-assigned locations.
Review ledgers related to associated funds and accounts.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
Prepare monthly financial statements for review by the Accounting Manager, ensuring completion by the 15th of each month.
Input annual and revised budgets for corps/units into accounting software.
Draft written reviews of budget variances on a monthly and as needed basis.
Maintain records in compliance with established Salvation Army policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree in accounting or related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Business administration and finance courses desirable. Courses in computer-based accounting very helpful.
Salary: $60,000 - $65,000
