Summary

The Director of Operations will oversee daily fulfillment activities. Responsible for managing, developing, and implementing an operational plan ensuring that procedures are carried out properly. Regularly monitors safety, service, quality & efficiency and makes business changes to meet safety, service, quality, and efficiency goals. This position is based in Bolingbrook, Illinois and will also be responsible for the Burr Ridge, Illinois location.

Responsibilities:Develop and implement operational plan: Warehouse, Production, Quality Assurance and ShippingCoordinate staff planning to ensure service promise to our customer while achieving efficiency goals.Supervise, train and mentor managers and other supervisory staff.

Define, implement, and revise operational policies and guidelines.Develop operational KPIs (Key Performance Indicator's) to establish measurement benchmarks for all departments and operations.Support and develop a continuous improvement environment.Manage quality and efficiency costs within fulfillment.Monitor employee productivity and satisfaction.Set team and individual goals.Participate in overall operations planning with the President, VP of Operations, VP of Engineering and Director of Operational Planning.Analyze data to identify trends and develop solutions.Drive employees and lead performance reviews, to ensure engaged and skilled workforce.Collaborate with leadership to build an environment of ownership, responsibility, and accountability.Determine labor requirements and communication of those requirements to department managers and Human Resources.Other duties as required.A bachelor's degree in business and or commensurate experience is required.8+ years of Operational Warehousing experience.5+ years of experience in an automated distribution facility.5+ years of experience work with WMS, WES and/or WCS systems.3+ years of P&L ResponsibilityPreferred experience in a gifting industry.Proficient with Microsoft tools such as MS Excel, MS Word and MS Access.Previous experience with managing large production teams.Experience with hiring, training, motivating and resolving employee relations issues.Demonstrated ability to write reports, business correspondence, procedural manuals and intra-company memos and emails.Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business technical procedures and policies.Possess strong analytical and communication skills
