The Challenge + Position
As a Lead Test Technician at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., you will have the unique opportunity to play a vital role in the manufacturing process of our world-class transmission electron microscopes. In this position, you will take ownership of ensuring that each customer-order-specific microscope is aligned and built flawlessly according to the customer's requirements. With a strong focus on technical challenges, you will be responsible for integrating modules at all levels and addressing any problems that arise on module or system level.
Specific responsibilities are:
Building and testing complete microscopes to ensure flawless performanceFollowing procedures and conducting tests to ensure qualityDelivering modules and microscopes on time and with the utmost attention to detailContributing to the continuous improvement of products and related processesIndependently analyzing and resolving problems
The Requirements
To excel in this role, you should have:
Middle technical education (MBO) with at least 2 years of working experience or a bachelor’s degree (HBO) in a technical domain, or equivalent experience.Knowledge of mechanical and/or electronics engineeringThe ability to analyze and interpret physics, mechanics, and software technical dataPreferably experience with high-tech systems or a demonstrated interest in technical challengesStrong presentation skills in both Dutch and English
