Level 3 Network Engineer
Location: Local to the Cincinnati area. Go into office on an as needed basis.
Payrate:
$100k - $114k / year
We are seeking a seasoned Systems Engineer-Level 3 to join our Enterprise Services team, focusing on a range of network engineering projects, from application support to large-scale device refresh initiatives. The ideal candidate will manage multiple concurrent projects, including several multi-year efforts, and possess a deep understanding of enterprise networking and wireless systems.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement solutions using advanced network technologies.
Lead and prototype emerging technology projects, moving from development to production.
Define, assess, and ensure compliance with enterprise-wide SLAs.
Collaborate across business functions to improve processes and influence long-term tech strategies.
Support project planning, dependency management, and readiness criteria for new implementations.
Skills/Qualifications:Required:
Education: High school diploma/GED; Bachelor’s in IT or related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum 10 years in IT, 5+ years in enterprise WAN/LAN technology with experience in Cisco ASR/ISR routers, Catalyst switches, and Nexus switches.
Network Protocols: Proficiency in BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, MPLS, VRF, and IPSEC tunnels.
Wireless Systems: Experience managing and troubleshooting centralized wireless environments (e.g., Cisco WLCs and APs).
Firewall Management: Proficiency in Cisco Firepower Threat Defense.
Preferred:
Proficiency in tools like Cisco Prime, Splunk, and SolarWinds.
Experience with Viptela SDWAN, Cisco Umbrella, and cloud networking components.
CCNP certification or equivalent skills in enterprise network design and troubleshooting.
