Description

As the Finance analyst supporting the Fresh Grocery Instore channel, you will own the consolidated bottoms-up planning model, defining net new channel and scenario views, ​and crafting the growth story narrative to leadership. This role is highly visible, with opportunity to partner with leaders across Marketing, Retail Operations, and Product organizations to drive a cohesive business plan and narrative. Grocery is a key investment area for the company and growing rapidly, so there will be opportunity to increase scope and exposure in this role.

Key job responsibilities

Own expanding on the existing Instore channel customer funnel, helping improve our forecasting granularity, accuracy, and move towards automation

Partner with Real Estate and Topology teams to build scenario analysis capability to support various leadership decisions around site and store launches

Partner with Marketing business partners to evolve our measurement of and forecasting for key customer funnel metrics (e.g. retention) and contribute to monthly business review forums

Partner with the initiatives finance lead to standardize and automate product planning and reporting

Deliver monthly financial close. Uses financial systems and advanced MSExcel functions to work with large data sets. Outputs plans, forecasts, budgets, and consolidations.

Create effective business partnerships, manage competing priorities, and provide guidance based on data analysis during unexpected events

Participate in hiring, developing, and mentoring peers and team members. Seek and leverage diverse perspectives in all activities.

Contribute to work life harmony by being a positive, collaborative, and effective influencer to new team members as an indicator of operations excellence.

About the team

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience

Preferred Qualifications

4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

MBA, or CPA

Knowledge of Tableau

Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
