Job Description
Computer World Services, Corporation (CWS) is seeking an exceptional candidate to serve as
Network Senior-SME
for
the US Army Regional Cyber Center – Continental United States (RCC-CONUS)
program responsible for performing non-personal Information Technology (IT) Services and support requirements. RCC-CONUS is responsible to operate, manage, and defend the Army’s NIPRNet and Secure Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet) CONUS portion of the GIG, and the NIPRNet and SIPRNet DoDIN-A. The RCC-CONUS functions as part of a larger joint environment, responding to the Theater Combatant Commanders, the ARCYBER, and the Army Cyber Command’s Army Cyberspace Operations and Integration Center (ACOIC), which operates the GIG in support of Department of Defense (DoD) operations around the world. Services include Network and System Modernization, Cyber Defensive Operations, Defensive Cyber Assessments, Defensive Cyber Infrastructure Support, Threat & Data Analytics, DoDIN Operation Support, Network Management, Systems Management, IT Lifecycle Management, IT Service Management (ITSM), Portfolio/IT Investment Management, and Theater Operations and Service Desk support.
The Contractor shall operate, maintain, and defend the DoDIN-A secure operation of the enterprise network infrastructure. The Contractor shall assist Government to remotely operate, monitor, sustain and secure within RCC-CONUS responsibility boundaries the enterprise network.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Responsible for operating, monitoring, sustaining, and securing routers, switches, firewalls, Out of Band (OOB) management routers, Virtual Private Network (VPN) and access control servers.
Implement, maintain, and document access control lists (ACL) in RCC-CONUS AOR. Make all ACL modifications to the RCC-CONUS managed network devices with no disruption in service. Create, add, delete, audit, and update Deny All/Permit by Exception (DAPE) security policies.
Maintain accurate and complete ports, protocols, and services (PPS) and Application Layer Filtering records for RCC-CONUS managed sites as required. Review submitted requests for change (RFCs) and other change configurations for accuracy, feasibility, and implementation concerns within the enterprise network architecture.
Manage EP-DNS throughout RCC-CONUS AOR.
Operate, manage, monitor, secure, and sustain IAW the systems owner’s Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, and Informed (RACI).
Assist Government to coordinate delegations, transfer files, troubleshoot operational issues multi-discipline team, and assign and retrieve network IP space and autonomous system numbers. Provide technical guidance and support to sites, including posts, camps, and stations, and tactical domain managers utilizing Army EP-DNS services.
Operate and Maintain (O&M) EP-DNS, troubleshoot, and correct as directed via ticket, Operation Order (OPORD) or Task Order (TASKORD); provide account management, enforce network ACLs, update / maintain IP filter list; maintain databases and domain blocks as required; and make changes to data files daily, including bad zones blocks.
Assign, manage, register, and reclaim all Army network (IPV4) and IPV6) space; register and update network assignments with the DoOD Network Information Center (NIC) and the American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN) to ensure registrations are current; register all Army Autonomous System Numbers (ASN), domains, hosts and users; interface with public sector Internet service providers (ISP) to answer questions regarding Army managed IP space; post and update the DISA WHO-IS database which consists of updating Domain Name System Security Extensions (DNSSEC) key on authentication website as well keep registration up for DNS SEC zone registration; and create, modify, and schedule blocked zone transfer attempts and other EP-DNS statistical reports.
Job Requirements:
Education & Experience
BA /BS or an MA/MS preferred from an accredited university (required)
Minimum of 12+ years of related IT experience (required)
Substitution Allowance (MA/MS with 10+ years’ experience can be substituted for above requirements)
Certifications
Certified Network Professional (CCNP). Juniper Networks Certified Internet Specialist or Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate. IAT Level II Baseline Certification
Security Clearance
Secret clearance (Required)
US Citizen or permanent resident
Other (Travel, Work Environment, Administrative Notes, etc.)
Travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations to meet mission requirements and undergo training may be required. The support outside Fort Huachuca, AZ including OCONUS if required will be designated as TDY.
