DevSecOps Engineer 3
to support the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program. Work location is in either Colorado Springs, CO or Huntsville, AL.
The selected candidate will support the C2BMC DevSecOps team in developing and deploying Infrastructure as a Service and Platform as a Service capability. They will also assist in managing multiple environments, software deployment, troubleshooting, and automation in a DevSecOps environment for a critical customer program.Essential Functions:Effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing toolsResponsible for working independently / solo on large projects; at other times, will be in a collaborative team environment with other DevSecOps engineers and other program development and deployment teamsUnderstanding of HP server configurationWork on systems administration-related hardware and software issues for different network environmentsSupport deployment of custom software solutions integrating COTS, GOTS, and developed softwarePropose system administration process improvement to reduce overall maintenance requirements by working with the design team and manufacturersDetermines systems requirements, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and maintenance of system configurationIdentifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficienciesDevelops and recommends corrective actionsMay provide technical guidance for database administrators and software developersBasic Qualifications:An active SECRET clearance is required to startBachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree and 3 years of experience, or a PhD and 1 years of experience, or 9 years of related experience in lieu of a degree may be consideredDoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (CompTIA Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA) is required to startExperience with Linux or Windows System AdministrationScripting skills in languages such as Bash or PowerShellExperience with automationKnowledge of DevSecOps principlesWork with the leading DevOps practices and tooling:Ansible Automation Platform, including Ansible TowerHashiCorp Packer and VaultGitlab CI/CDNexus ProExperience in virtualization technology, including VMwarePreferred Qualifications:Understanding of the software development life cycleExperience with Agile methodologySalary Range:
