Job Title: Assembler
Job Description
As an Assembly Technician, you will perform a variety of repetitive processes using various machines and/or hand tools to complete the assembly and/or sub-assembly of component parts. You will be responsible for working in the Assembly Cell to put together sub-assemblies, ensure caps are aligned and run through the press machine. You will also conduct quality checks and pack finished coolers into shipping containers. Additionally, you will be involved in testing units using air pressure, removing plates, and handling the pinning and pressing process.
Responsibilities
Assemble sub-assemblies and ensure caps are aligned
Run components through the press machine
Conduct quality checks on assembled units
Pack finished coolers into shipping containers
Test units using air pressure
Remove plates after assembly and pinning
Set up baffles into fixtures and measure distances using calipers
Insert cores into casting and prepare for pinning and pressing
Maintain records related to production, downtime, quality, and maintenance
Ensure all quality standards are met through visual inspections and measuring devices
Keep work area, equipment, and machines clean and orderly
Perform necessary computer transactions in various software programs
Perform other miscellaneous job assignments as directed by Team Lead or Manager
Essential Skills
Mechanically inclined
Experience with power tools
Attention to detail
2 years of hands-on experience
High school diploma or GED
Basic arithmetic skills (MDAS, decimals)
Reading comprehension (8th-grade level)
Hand dexterity
Ability to work with both hands
Ability to use basic hand tools
Safety conscientious
Willingness to cross-train
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Direct manufacturing assembly experience (preferred)

Work Environment
The work environment includes a 1st shift schedule (6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Thursday). The facility has undergone significant upgrades, including a climate-controlled pressing operation and clean, climate-controlled assembly cells. Team sizes range from 3 to 6 individuals, with a strong emphasis on ergonomics and safety. PPE required includes steel toe boots, long work pants (jeans or Dickies), safety glasses, hearing protection (optional), and a safety vest (provided). The facility has a long-standing history of community involvement and employee investment.
