HYBRID ELIGIBILITY

This position works a hybrid schedule, spending time remotely and in the office in Tioga, ND. The current hybrid schedule provides flexibility to collaborate in the office Tuesdays through Thursdays and work from home Mondays and Fridays. With our 9/80 feature you get time off every other Friday when you work at least 80 hours over the preceding nine days.

POSITION SUMMARY

This role will be responsible for leading efforts for Reliability Engineering with regards to Instrumentation in the North Dakota Bakken Asset in order to support maximizing equipment reliability. This role will work across numerous organizational boundaries such as Operations; Maintenance, Reliability, and Integrity; Infrastructure; EHS and Global Supply Chain to support Wells & Pads, Gas/Oil/Water Gathering, and the Tioga Gas Plant.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary areas of focus will include the following:

Reliability Improvement

Develop and implement multi-year instrumentation improvement and obsolescence plans

Lead bad actor elimination efforts and ensures effectiveness of countermeasures

Develops and/or optimizes equipment maintenance strategies

Ensures reliability/availability requirements are maintained in Safety Instrumented Systems

Analyze predictive maintenance data Performance Standard results and initiate follow-on corrective work

Develops and utilizes key performance indicators to corrective action

Troubleshooting / Operational Support

Work with Operations and Maintenance personnel to troubleshoot instrumentation and control equipment on an as-needed basis

Participate in scope development and repair of critical equipment

Act as instrumentation adviser to Process and Reliability Engineers concerning equipment/facilities capabilities and improvement opportunities

Maintenance in Projects

Support Infrastructure projects by providing reliability, maintainability, and operability input as a representative of the Maintenance, Reliability, and Integrity team to ensure that the best designs/philosophies are being implemented with new equipment installations/modifications

Own instrument-driven MOCs and provide technical requirements/reviews/approvals for larger MOCs.

Ensure instrument maintainability/serviceability is integrated into the projects

Validate criticality, equipment hierarchy/taxonomy and establish maintenance strategies in SAP for equipment added in capital and site projects

Remote on-call and onsite support required for operational upsets/failures and incident management, as needed

Work Environment

Office Based role (Tioga) with a 9/80 work schedule.

Field presence 3-days/week

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience & Skills

7+ years of experience in Instrumentation and Controls technical discipline

Demonstrated history of utilizing Reliability Centered Maintenance tools to optimize asset performance / lifecycle

Experience in root cause failure analysis and FMEA

Knowledge in Process Hazard Analysis, Layer of Protection Analysis, and Safety Instrumented Systems preferred with an understanding of IEC 61511 requirements. Certification is a plus.

Strong knowledge in general plant and oil & gas instrumentation & field devices such as:

Pressure, level and flow instrumentation

Analyzers & Chromatographs

Control valves, actuators positioners and solenoids

Transmitters & Sensing elements

Flow Meters

Proficient in MS Office and SAP

Education, Training & Certifications

Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or equivalent
