Senior DevOps Engineer with AWS (Hybrid)Cognizant Digital Engineering is looking to hire a Senior DevOps Engineer with AWS and Terraform experience. The ideal candidate will have experience with Ansible, Docker, GitHub Actions and at least 5 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or a related role.Location ( Hybrid ):
Lexington, MA - USAResponsibilities:Architect and implement: Design, develop, and deploy robust solutions spanning Weblogic, JBoss, Tomcat, Apache, Squid Proxy and other relevant technologies, aligning with technical roadmap and business objectives.Performance and security: Ensure optimal performance and scalability of the platform, proactively monitoring for issues, troubleshooting, and implementing performance tuning strategies. Prioritize robust security measures to protect sensitive data and applications.Designing and documenting Infrastructure architecture for large and complex systems. Review, assess, and report the current state. Identify areas for improvement and plan and implement solutions. Streamline processes, reduce expenses, and maximize resource utilization. Creation and review of Architecture documents.Evaluating and recommending new tools and platforms to optimize infrastructure.Foster strong relationships with other engineering teams, ensuring seamless integration of middleware services with applications and infrastructure.Document middleware architecture, best practices, and operational procedures for knowledge transfer and long-term maintainability.Design and implementation of monitoring solutions.Qualifications:At least 5 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or a related role.Must Have skills:
AWS, DevOps, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, GitHub Actions.Nice to have skills:
Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack.Strong expertise in AWS services, including EC2, RDS, EKS, S3, IAM, ALB, and NLB.Proficiency with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible.Extensive experience with CI/CD tools, specifically GitHub Actions.Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).Solid experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or AWS CloudWatch.Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages.Strong experience in building immutable infrastructure and utilizing tools like Packer for image building.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication skills and experience mentoring and guiding team members.Additional Information:Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the US without requiring employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.Salary and Other Compensation:The annual salary for this position is between $81,337 to $141,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.Benefits:
