Junior Software Tester
to join our team working with the Joint Technology Center Systems Integration Lab (JSIL) at Redstone Arsenal
in Huntsville, AL . The Software Tester position will be a valuable addition to our team and contribute to SAIC’s groundbreaking work with Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). They will be part of a dynamic and fast-paced development team. This position currently requires individuals to work at an SAIC or government facility. The position will require periodic travel to customer sites which can be located in the United States or overseas.Creating detailed comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases for software in collaboration with developers;Defining and maintaining testing standards and procedures for simulators and UAV trainers;Designing, developing, and executing automated testing tools for rapid re-use in a variety of application environments;Perform thorough regression testing processes for new and existing trainer systems;Reviewing requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.QualificationsEducation Requirements:Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related degree (from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution) and 0 years’ experience; OR four years of related experience.Must be able to produce well-formatted and effective documentation to convey test plans and results.Clearance Requirements:Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a full Secret clearance; Minimum of an interim Secret clearance required to start; US Citizenship required.Required Experience/Skills:Familiar with Microsoft Office products: i.e. Teams, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.Experience in developing test documentation such as bugs, issues, test reports, and procedures.Good operational knowledge and troubleshooting of Windows operating systems.Proven ability to concentrate and maintain focus while engaging with lengthy detailed written information.Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.Able to work independently and efficiently.Desired Skills:Experience with UAVs.Experience with Agile methodology and software development.Experience reviewing/editing User Manuals, Technical Documents, and Version Description Documents (VDDs).
