Up to 15K Sign-On & Relocation Available for select candidatesWe are looking for an Electrical Engineer (Rotating Machine Design) to join our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location.Your Responsibilities:Designs and analyzes moderately complex electro-mechanical components and systems. Conducts analytical studies on new and modified designs. Develops design information for use in reports, specifications, and drawings. Capable of drawing conclusions and reconciling differences between predicted values and actual results.Assess new and existing equipment to optimize design efficiency, safety, quality and cost effectiveness. Provides engineering design, maintenance support and training for new product and equipment.Determines technical objectives and develops innovative, practical solutions to advance technical engineering problems. Provides technical support to failure investigations and bid responses.Capable of leading engineering teams through moderately complex technical issues. Actively supports development of engineering planning for development of new designs and redesign efforts.Performs engineering assignments in a timely manner under minimal guidance of a more senior engineer. Plans, coordinates, and executes, with guidance, a variety of engineering activities including documentation, reporting, publishing, and making technical or other presentations.What you Bring: Bachelor's degree5+ years' Electrical Engineer experience required. MSEE a plus2D/3D Electro Magnetic Finite Element Analysis, System Modeling (Mathcad, Matlab, Flux2D), Thermal AnalysisPreferred Experience with low frequency electromagnetic FEA software and circuit simulation in MATLAB/SimulinkAbility to create models and drawings, present design reviews, and perform trade studies and design reviews with minimal guidance.
