The Executive Market Aligned Recruiting Director is a unique opportunity to architect Microsoft’s global strategy for identifying and competing for executive talent. They will lead a dedicated and high-impact team that plays a pivotal role in Microsoft’s ongoing transformation through sourcing and engaging top leadership talent for opportunities today while ensuring a pipeline of innovative prospects for the future. This involves creating unique and robust blueprint strategies based on industry insights and market mapping, as well as developing optimal candidate generation and development strategies for our highest priority engineering and go-to-market roles.

Responsibilities

This is a stimulating role that partners closely with a broad spectrum of internal stakeholders: Leaders across the Business and Human Resources (HR) including Global Talent Acquisition and Talent Management. They will be the line leader for a team of globally based Market Aligned Recruiters and Director, a part of our GETA Extended Leadership Team along with owning relationships with our external providers. This leader will be responsible for the following:

Recruiting at Scale: Operate with consistency and focus on continuous improvement (process, tools, programs, etc.) to deliver greater business impact and insights. Effectively collaborate with other teams both within and outside of Global Talent Acquisition in support of our mission.

Data Driven Outcomes: Leverage data from a range of internal and external sources to provide deep analytical insight to drive informed decision making and clear strategic outcomes while contributing to the overall Global Talent Acquisition strategy. Ensure accurate business reporting to clients and stakeholders against quality metrics monthly, and coach and mentor the team of recruiters to make data driven decisions

Enable Global Scale & Impact: Contribute to the ongoing development of a global ecosystem of processes, systems and tools that enable productivity and impact and create global consistency and scalability. Ability to develop a global blueprint on targeted companies, industries, and talent and prioritize effectively based on key market insights and Microsoft’s overarching current and future needs.

Always seeking ways to drive toward higher levels of excellence in contributions to direct and broad Talent Acquisition team. Ability to get team up to speed quickly on new markets, technology, and product domains to quickly understand and apply this knowledge into effective search strategies.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years talent acquisition experience (e.g., recruiting, sourcing), HR experience, or industry experience related to role

OR equivalent experience.

5+ years experience in directly sourcing, mapping, and recruiting research of executive level talent.

5+ years formal or informal leadership/managerial experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree AND 15+ years talent acquisition experience (e.g., recruiting, sourcing), HR experience, or industry experience related to role

OR Master's Degree AND 12+ years talent acquisition experience (e.g., recruiting, sourcing), HR experience, or industry experience related to role

OR equivalent experience.

5+ years people management experience

Demonstrated people management capabilities in a talent acquisition function with a history of leaving an organization stronger than it was before.

Ability to operate talent acquisition team with excellence and at a global scale.

Ability to deliver results in a dynamic environment.

Talent Acquisition M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $273,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $299,400 per year.
