Job DetailsJob Location4609 - Apollo - Houston, TXPosition TypeFull TimeJob ShiftDayDescriptionThe Winder Technician is responsible for setting up equipment, loading materials, and operating winding machinery, making sure the product meets the highest standards of the Company's product line. The job duties herein describe essential functions of the position. Additionally, regular attendance and punctuality are essential to the success of the position. The individual should be able to perform these essential functions with or without requested reasonable accommodations. Essential Functions Perform setup activities (calibration, cleaning etc.) to ensure proper equipment startup, and regulates speed of winder to maintain even winding. Alertness in detecting any deviation in the functioning of the machine.Monitor feed material to ensure complete run cycle.Verify tool ready for next run cycle.Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials.Follow QA manuals / procedures and assist in updating QA and Assembly procedures.Maintain a safe work environment and keep work area clean and organized.Conduct all business activities in accordance with the company code of conduct, policies and procedures and all applicable legal requirements.Perform other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.QualificationsQualifications & Requirements HS/GEDExperience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.Available to work overtime as needed.Skills, Abilities & Work Style Willing to dedicate the time and effort to learn the skills required for this position.Ability to stand, sit and/or walk on a hard surface safely bend, stoop, and reach for 8 to 10 hours a dayCommunicates well both verbally and in writing and shares information and ideas with others.Committed to contributing to Company's success through on-the-job performance.Work Environment & Physical Demands This position requires working primarily in an industrial facility, which may not be temperature controlled around machines with moving parts and electrical equipment.
