Medicaid Program Advisor - Albany NY

Responsibilities include:
Administration project Coordination – Serve as a Program Lead, delegate assignments, track and report out on program progress to Management and Executive.
Coordinate Contract Development to achieve contract execution for assigned grant
awards. Perform quality assurance reviews on all proposed budget modifications and
contract amendments.
Oversee the Reimbursement Payment Process for assigned contracts, ensuring voucher
audits are conducted in a manner consistent with bureau policies and contractual
payment provisions. Evaluates submission information to determine if acceptable.
Oversee Contract Monitoring activities for executed contracts to ensure contract
provisions are met and ensure DOH is aware of project’s progress and status. Provide
financial forecasting, planning and quantitative analysis, including developing budget to
actual analysis.
Coordinate Vendor Responsibility review to evaluate grantees and sub-contractors’
capacity to perform the requirements of the contract fully and overall responsibility as a
vendor.
Team Lead Activities: Manage/Supervise a team of contract managers or other bureau
staff to facilitate contract execution and reimbursement for assigned grant awards.
Provide technical advice, consultation and guidance on operating programs to staff,
agency officials, and others regarding contracting, reimbursement and project changes.
Developing Self: Shows evidence of personal development (e.g. software skills
enhancement, financial training); completes specialized training as appropriate (e.g.
research, compliance, etc.); identifies ways to improve efficiency and accuracy.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Eight (8) or more years of experience in health care related field to include research, health care policy, Behavioral Health, Substance Use Disorders, or Intellectual and/or Developmental Disability, and quality monitoring or improvement projects.
*Employees must follow established work schedules. The usual work schedule is 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Normal work hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. unless otherwise specified by the supervisor, this includes a half hour unpaid lunch break. Total work hours must equal 37.5 hours per week.
Compensation for roles at Staffing Solutions Organization LLC (SSO) varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, SSO provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. In addition, SSO provides a range of benefits for this role.
