US CentralJob Summary:We are seeking a talented and passionate Wordpress Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Wordpress platform, from themes and plugins to custom post types and API integrations. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing our Wordpress websites, ensuring they are secure, consistent, light, user-friendly, fast, and responsive.Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain Wordpress websites, including custom themes and plugins.Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers to create seamless user experiences.Optimize websites for performance, scalability, and SEO.Integrate third-party tools and APIs as needed. Build, support and maintain integrations as needed (Make, SureTriggers).Ensure the website is responsive across all devices and browsers.Troubleshoot and fix any website issues or bugs in a timely manner (receiving, responding and managing through support portal).Stay up-to-date with new Wordpress releases, tools, trends, and best practices.Ensure the security of the website by implementing best security practices (support Cloudflare setup, update, manage regularly and on-demand).Conduct website testing and debugging.Create and maintain detailed documentation for website processes and projects.Help create simple training material for client sites (videos, outlined screenshots).Requirements:

Proven experience as a Wordpress Developer (3+ years preferred).Strong in front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.Very Strong understanding of PHP and MySQL.Experience with Wordpress theme development and customization.Familiarity with popular Wordpress plugins and tools, such as ACF, KadenceWP, WooCommerce, WP Ninja (Fluent Ecosystem), SureCart, SureMembers, etc.Experience with version control tools (i.e. Git).Knowledge of SEO best practices.Understanding of website performance optimization techniques.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.Familiarity with website builders like Kadence.Experience with e-commerce platforms like SureCart, WooCommerce.Understanding of UI/UX design principles.Knowledge of website accessibility standards (WCAG).Familiarity with cloud hosting platforms and server management.Education:

Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent experience in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.Independent Contractor Perks:
