Description and Requirements
Job Profile:
Manage relationship of one of the largest Lenovo suppliers including negotiation of pricing, supply, strategy, communication across supplier and Lenovo executives and cross functional teams.
Responsibilities:
Internal subject matter expert in respective area; provide guidance to team; lead cross-function projects
Responsible for the alignment of demand & supply, and acquiring supplier commitments to support. Manage supplier generation to generation transitions both cost and supply.
Identify opportunities for improving procurement performance
Provide input to supplier strategies; obtain stakeholder support
Plan and execute procurement operation activities for multiple high value/risk projects/assignments
Interact with Business Unit to drive commodity roadmaps and strategies into the portfolio
As ‘people manager’, lead respective supply chain team(s) to support departmental KPI, translate functional strategy into executable sub-functional work plan, lead continuous process improvement, monitor projects, and perform people management (including career development), etc
Require very strong communication skills with both internal customers and external vendors
Communicate with senior leadership team and with cross function teams on key supplier strategy and concerns
Ability to analyze very complex situation, anticipate and solve potential problems based on the business strategy including the knowledge of industrial trends
Drive continuous processes improvement in respective area
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement/supply chain
Preferred Qualifications:
· Industry Knowledge of the tech industry
