Senior Quantitative Researcher - Equities (High-Frequency)A leading trading firm is in search of a seasoned Senior Quantitative Researcher to enhance their Equities team in Chicago. This role will concentrate on high-frequency trading, overseeing the development, implementation, and optimisation of sophisticated trading strategies. You will engage with industry-leading researchers and engineers, driving ongoing enhancements in performance and fostering innovation in quantitative trading.Responsibilities:• Develop and implement innovative trading products and strategies aimed at diversifying portfolios and maximizing risk-adjusted returns.• Design, execute, and optimise high-frequency algorithmic trading strategies specifically for equities markets.• Conduct regular evaluations and adjustments of strategies to ensure they meet the demands of changing market dynamics and operational goals.• Collaborate closely with top-tier quantitative researchers and engineers to refine existing strategies and uncover new trading prospects.Qualifications:• Advanced degrees (Masters/PhD) in quantitative disciplines such as Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields.• Demonstrated success in alpha generation and the creation of high-performing signals within equities markets.• Solid experience in quantitative trading, particularly with high-frequency equities strategies or analogous asset classes.• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C++, or Java.• Extensive knowledge of machine learning methodologies and tools, with a specific focus on their application in strategy creation and optimization.This role presents an outstanding opportunity for an experienced quantitative researcher to significantly influence the high-frequency equities space.
