Our client is a leading player in the aerospace industry, dedicated to innovation, precision, and quality. They are seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer to join their team and contribute to the design and manufacturing of high-precision aerospace components. Job Summary The Aerospace CNC Programmer will develop, implement, and maintain CNC programs to produce high-quality aerospace components with tight tolerances. This role requires expertise in CNC programming, machining operations, and a strong understanding of aerospace industry standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly technical, and has experience with a range of CNC machines and software. Key Responsibilities CNC Programming: Develop and optimize CNC programs for aerospace components, ensuring efficient and accurate production. Machining Operations: Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machinery, adjusting programs and machine settings as necessary to ensure precision and quality. Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical blueprints, CAD models, and engineering drawings to understand component specifications and tolerances. Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve programming processes to reduce cycle time, improve efficiency, and minimize waste. Quality Assurance: Perform quality checks on finished products, ensuring they meet industry standards and client specifications. Identify and correct any programming issues affecting quality. Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve technical issues and improve manufacturing processes. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of program revisions, tooling, and machining processes for future reference and compliance. Qualifications Education: Associate's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Experience: 3+ years of experience in CNC programming, specifically in aerospace manufacturing. Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, CATIA, NX, or equivalent). Technical Skills: Proficiency in G-code and M-code programming. In-depth knowledge of CNC machining processes, including milling and turning. Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and AS9100 standards. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement. Preferred Qualifications Certification: CNC Programming certification or related credentials. Software Knowledge: Proficiency in advanced CNC software packages and CAD/CAM programming for complex aerospace parts. Experience: Prior experience in a high-precision manufacturing environment or familiarity with aerospace and defense industry standards.
