Job Description:

Role Summary/Purpose:

The AVP, Direct Marketing is responsible for ensuring flawless, on time delivery of Synchrony Direct Marketing team channel campaigns including email, direct mail, mobile and file only campaigns, and is an expert in agile project management and deployment platform capabilities. Candidates will manage campaign setup and template approval, list selection and segmentation, and deployment of email, direct mail, mobile and file only marketing campaigns. This role influences and supports channel execution process standards (e.g., timelines, template design, data collection and refinement) across Synchrony Marketing Agile processes.

Essential Responsibilities:

Liaise with clients and peers within Growth to deliver complex channel requests & problem-solving (e.g., new clients, new offers / products, escalated requests related to timeline or complexity).

Drive the re-imagination of channel execution, transforming to become more flexible, agile, and deliver expedited cross-channel campaign solutions for all portfolios.

Scum Master of Pod; runs stand-ups, assigns workload, trains Pod members on portfolio nuances, ensures completion of all work.

Act as subject matter expert for advanced channel skillsets (e.g., data, execution processes, platforms, suppliers/agencies).

Manage project initiatives as assigned (e.g., temporary resources, supplier/agency reviews, platform upgrades, client initiatives, cross-channel strategy).

Collaborate with client marketers on optimal design, creative, and segmentation to drive channel touchpoints, assisting clients with agency creative process and legal approval.

Work within designated digital platforms to build and launch email and mobile marketing campaigns.

Work within direct mail process and with direct mail vendors to bid print job and execute campaigns

Manage file selection and segmentation of Synchrony channel marketing campaigns and facilitate accurate execution of 'file only' requests.

Act as mentor/coach for new hires, and/or those laboring in role.

Pursue Agile Certifications, including Scrum Master.

Audits high complexity and/or flagged campaigns, including approving campaign requirements.

Shares campaign performance metrics back to client teams and account manager for continuous campaign improvement.

Investigate, develop and champion pilot strategies for next generation channel optimization.

Ensure all campaigns meet required campaign documentation requirements.

Drive advancement and adoption of responsive design for digital (smart phone, tablet) optimization.

Ensure adherence to purchase order and invoice management procedures.

Drive continued adoption and consistent usage of Performance Marketing process tools by team and clients, including compliance with records retention.

Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree or in lieu of degree high school diploma/GED and a minimum of 8 years of Marketing or Digital experience.

A minimum of 4 years of work experience with one or a combination of the following: email marketing, direct mail marketing, mobile marketing

A minimum of 3 years working with direct mail vendors to bid print job and execute and audit print campaigns

Minimum of 2 years in a PM platform such as Workfront or the equivalent

Desired Characteristics:

Experience doing end-to-end builds, journeys and deployments within an ESP like Salesforce, Responsys, Zeta, PCM/Harmony or Cheetah.

Demonstrated project management skills using agile framework

Demonstrated experience working with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Experience working with data segmentation and data auditing.

Demonstrated ability to creatively solve problems, develop new tactics and address implementation obstacles.

Grade/Level: 10

The salary range for this position is 75,000.00 - 130,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

You must be 18 years or older

You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
