Job Description:

As a Demand Planning & SIOP Lead for L3Harris, you will play a critical role in leading and guiding the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning process for a single large facility or several smaller facilities in the same group. Your primary responsibility will be to serve as the site lead for demand planning and SIOP by gathering, tracking, and controlling demand data from various sources to be used in decision-making for future planning processes across multiple functions, along with leading decision-focused meetings that drive alignment across the business. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to consolidate demand information, including firm Sales Orders and speculative demand such as New Business, Follow On, Customer Options, Repair and Return MRO, and Engineering IRAD, while developing forecasts for commercial contracts and customers. Your role will be instrumental in creating a comprehensive demand plan that spans the next 18-24 rolling months, ensuring alignment between demand and supply plans across the organization. This role will be critical in the execution of the monthly demand reviews, as the data and information collected, presented, and agreed to will feed the overall SIOP cadence and cycle. This role will be expected to have frequent interactions with executive leadership at the site.

Essential Functions:

Lead the development and implementation of the SIOP process across the site(s) with little to no supervision, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives and between the demand plan, build plan, and AOP.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business development/contracts, finance, engineering, supply chain, and operations, to gather input and forecast demand accurately.

Conduct regular decision-focused SIOP meetings to review demand forecasts, production capacities, and inventory levels, making necessary adjustments to meet business objectives.

At some facilities, could be involved with leading and supporting master scheduling activities

Collaborate with manufacturing and operations teams to ensure optimal utilization of resources and identify capacity constraints.

Monitor and analyze production performance to identify areas for improvement and optimize production schedules.

Identify and resolve any production-related issues or bottlenecks, implementing corrective actions as needed with the operations team.

Possess a deep understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems and leverage it to optimize planning and scheduling processes.

Collaborate with IT and operations teams to implement system enhancements and drive process improvements.

Provide training and guidance to team members on MRP system functionalities and best practices.

Provide new product development (NPD) project support as required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

Minimum 3+ years in operations/manufacturing related data analysis.

Experience in analyzing data and presenting summary to leadership teams.

Demonstrated ability in data analytics and driving decision-making based on that data.

Proficient in excel with utilizing pivots and macros to create visualization tools.

Preferred Additional Skills:

Strong knowledge and understanding of Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) processes and principles.

Experience in collaborating with a Program Management and Engineering centered organization to support IPT requirements.

Proficiency in utilizing MRP systems and related planning tools.

Demonstrated expertise in master scheduling, capacity planning, production planning, and inventory management

Prior experience in a turnaround environment.

Proficiency with Analytics tools and advanced skills with MS Excel and Power BI.

Strong organization and relationship management skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication.

Self-starter and ability to take initiative.

Ability to lead and influence others, driving alignment and consensus.

Proactive and results-oriented approach with a focus on continuous improvement.

Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.
