We are looking for an entrepreneurial, innovative Head of Data Science Software Engineering as one of the leaders in the Advanced Analytics Capability.
Who should apply?Guardian Industries is seeking a highly experienced Head of Data Science Software Engineering with significant expertise in AI and data science solutions. This role requires extensive experience in steering the development of data-heavy advanced analytics applications and full-stack AI/ML solutions, with a particular focus on MLOps.Your ability to translate customer needs into effective digital solutions, coupled with your familiarity with industry-standard development frameworks and AI/Advanced Analytics architecture patterns, is crucial.As a key leader, you will drive innovation, foster collaborative partnerships, and influence resource allocation. You'll design, develop, and maintain software applications that deliver AI/ML solutions aligned with business goals.We are looking for strategic thinkers who are highly collaborative, values-driven, open to challenges, and eager to explore new methods and collaborations with both internal and external teams for mutual benefit.Responsibilities:
Oversee the design, development, and optimization of applications that integrate AI/ML models in partnership with AI solution leader and product owner.Manage the agile product development lifecycle, facilitating effective communication and collaboration across teams, including data scientists, data engineers, and other cross-functional partners.Guide the design of scalable and robust system architectures that support data-driven applications, ensuring they meet performance, scalability, and reliability requirements.Evaluate and recommend tools, frameworks, and technologies that enhance the development and deployment of data science solutions.Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in AI, data science, and software engineering.Monitor and optimize the performance of high-value AI solutions in production.Identify and resolve technical challenges related to the integration and deployment of data science models.Manage budgets and resources, ensuring efficient allocation and utilization.Develop and maintain relationships with key business and technical partners to support informed decision-making and trade-off decisions during deliverWhat You Will Need (Basic Qualifications):
Experience in software development and engineering, with experience in a leadership role.Proven hands-on experience in full-stack software development and architecture for large, data-intensive analytics applications.Strong technical, program and product management skills with a history of delivering complex projects. • Familiarity with industry-standard AI tools and frameworks.Understanding of the data/analytics/cloud landscape and vendor options.A background in Computer Science or EngineeringWhat Will Put You Ahead
Experience with AI/Data platforms (e.g., C3.ai, Salesforce Einstein, Snowflake) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)Experience managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.Experience in the manufacturing industry, especially glass manufacturing.Understanding of data privacy and security considerations in AI applications.
