Overview
How You’ll Make an Impact
Epsilon is seeking an Associate Database Administrator to join the Data Warehouse team. The Associate Database Administrator will have the opportunity to showcase a balance of skills in database design, physical implementation, user management and performance tuning to support the Data Warehouse environments running on external cloud services providers for Database Marketing clients. As an Associate Database Administrator you will provide 24 x 7 x 365 support through on-call rotation. You will follow standards and best practices for availability, security, backup and recovery, and integrity of client databases. As an Associate Database Administrator you will monitor and report on performance metrics, system health, and logging compliance on database services or database appliances. You will manage data replication, data encryption, backup storage and archiving procedures. This is a hybrid role, with an expectation of 2 days/week in office.
What You’ll Achieve
You will help develop and support shell scripts for database activities, such as data loading, unloading, and maintenance. You will perform database administration tasks including backup and recovery, troubleshooting, performance tuning and SQL optimization
You will learn & manager a variety of technologies such as Data Warehouse Database Systems on Cloud (e.g., AWS Redshift, AWS EMR, Snowflake). You will learn how to develop and support shell scripts for database activities, such as data loading, unloading, and maintenance

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Management, or related fields
