DVS is looking for a Systems Administrator to support our team located in Huntsville, AL. This position requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance. This position has a hybrid work schedule.
System AdministratorRequired certification: DoD 8571.01M approved Information Assurance-Technical (IAT) Level II (or an IAT Level III) certification such as CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP.
Windows Administration & MS Server Administration
Active Directory Management
Operating Systems: Microsoft Windows, Windows Server
Server Applications: VMWare ESXi 6.5.0, Active Directory
Software Applications: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook), Microsoft Team Foundation Server
Responsibilities
Configure and deploy Windows based servers.
Analyze system logs and identify potential issues.
Apply operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes.
Install and configure new hardware and software.
Reset passwords.
Document the configuration of the system.
Troubleshoot any reporting problems.
Ensure that the network infrastructure is up and running.
Configure, add, and delete file systems.
Ensure parity between dev, test and production environments.
Perform SCAP Scans and complete STIG Checklists for RMF compliance.
Ensure DISA guidelines are met.
Handle installation of McAfee software including Common Management Agent, Threat Prevention, HBSS, Endpoint Security, and Virus Scan Enterprise.
Physical and Mental Qualifications:
Maintain awareness during scheduled working hours.
Prolonged periods sitting or standing at desk and working on a computer (mouse and keyboard).
Able to lift up to 15 pounds.
Excellent verbal and written communication; good command of the English language.
Execute tasks independently and work as a team.
Learn and memorize routine tasks.
Strong organizational, grammar, business correspondence, and self-management skills.
