Embedded Software Engineer / Digital Engineer

The successful candidate will be collaborative, open, transparent, and team-oriented with a focus on team empowerment & shared responsibility, flexibility, continuous learning, and a culture of automation.What You’ll get to Do:Designing and writing GPS receiver source code across our product line of hardware form factorsDebugging or modifying existing code to add new features or correct defectsEnsuring execution of the software engineering process across the development life cycleEstimation, planning and prioritization of tasks to meet program deadlinesReporting on project status and progress measured against specific plansDeveloping host applications and tools to interface and test productsSupporting in the field integrations and demonstration effortsPutting our customer first through customer support activitiesExpanding our knowledge base together through mentorship and training opportunities.This position is contingent upon program award.This requisition may be filled at either a Principal Level or a Sr. Principal Level.Basic Qualifications for a Principal Embedded Software Engineer / Digital Engineer are:5 years of Engineering experience with a BS in a STEM discipline; 3 years of Engineering experience with MastersExperience with both FPGA coding and embedded softwareExperience with VHDL and or software lifecycle: specification, design, implementation, integration, debug, and maintenance requiredExperience in Software Architecture design and implementationDemonstrated use of high-level programming languages such as C, C++, or Java, or scripting languages such as PythonExperience in security architecting and codingExperience using software management and workflow automation tools such as ClearCase, Git, ClearQuest, or JiraAbility to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret ClearanceEngineering experience or academic background in the navigation/FPNT domain, specifically in one or more of the following areas:

$118,000 - $177,000Salary Range 2:
$146,300 - $219,500The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
