20% This role will support both their Norcross, GA facility as well as one of their sites in Erie, PA. The 20% travel will solely be comprised of travel to Erie, PA and will look like a couple of trips per quarter for a few days/up to one week at a time.Benefits:
a fantastic benefits package to include medical/dental/vision insurance, and generous PTO.Position DescriptionReporting to Flow Systems Finance Director (located in Milwaukee, WI), this role is responsible for providing timely financial and operational analysis in a dynamic, lean manufacturing environment. In this role you will analyze results, identify trends, develop reports, and communicate your findings to members of senior management and business partners in an organized and effective manner.The Assistant Plant Controller will also be responsible for monthly forecast updates; product cost updates; management of journal entries and account reconciliations; and driving process improvements leveraging various BI reporting tools including Tableau. The role will also involve various ad-hoc projects based on the current business needs.Key AccountabilitiesPartner directly with ATL and Erie, PA Ops Management to develop annual budget, monthly forecast updates for each facility including labor planning, outside processing, packaging/supplies spend. Tracks operational performance weekly to ensure financial commitments are met.Responsible for various month-end closing responsibilities such as journal entries and general ledger reconciliations in an accurate and timely manner. Reviews financial results and variances to forecast for completeness. Owns P&L for various functions and sites including ATL, and Erie, PA.Helps identify and track cost-out and other continuous improvement opportunities. Partners cross-functionally to drive actions to completion.Provide financial support (as required) to Management during Gemba and other VDM (“Visual Daily Management”) meetings.Coordinate accounting matters with other departments, locations, and divisions including aggregation and consolidation of information from various systems and teams for concise presentation to management.Helps manage critical elements of financial internal control environment, support external and internal audit requests. Supports execution of annual physical inventory process. Help with development of robust cycle counting processes to supplant annual PI process.Assists with product costing requests and system updates, including new item/BOM set-up requests/changes.Manages capital expenditures, including preparation and review of ROI / payback analysis.Requirements:The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance and 5+ years of manufacturing cost accounting experience.
