Shipper/Receiver - 2nd Shift

SHIPPER/RECEIVER NEEDED FOR 2nd SHIFT
Shipper duties:
Performs general shipping duties required for shipping all types of gas cylinders & related products.
Removes material from stock for shipment
Prepares material for shipment in accordance with established procedures by correctly stenciling, labeling, and tagging cylinders & related products.
Leak checks gas mixtures & pure gases prior to shipment as required.
Attaches dust plugs & dust gaps, wires down hand wheels, shrink wraps valves and cylinders as required.
Accurately completes required documentation, labels, tags, markings & placards for shipments.
Loads cylinders properly following all pertinent DOT, IMDG, and IATA requirements
Receiver duties:
Unloads trucks of all cylinders, drums, returned merchandise, and any other inbound freight.
Accurately records or scans all cylinders & tag numbers onto the standard company receiving report in a timely manner for all Matheson owned & customer owned customers.
Documents any damages, missing cylinder caps, out of test cylinders, customer-owned cylinders, etc. on receiving report.
Maintains a clean receiving cylinder storage yard.
WORK OT AS NEED AND PERFORM OTHER TASKS ASSIGNED BY PLANT MANAGER.
Qualifications:
HS diploma or equivalent. Must be able to perform simple arithmetic exercises. Must be able to lift 50lbs, work outside, climb ladders, use hand tools, & move cylinders. ability to operate a forklift. ALL TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED.
Safety and Quality:
Must adhere to all Quality system policies & procedures.
Segregates incoming material in quarantine as required prior to release
Compiles shipping documents & routes to the lab for incoming material release.
Must keep working area clean & orderly and follow all company procedures & safety policies.
