Sheet Fed Press Operator
for our Greensboro, NC facility. As part of our dedicated team, you will ensure the operation of high-quality sheet-fed presses used in producing cartonboard and folding cartons. Youll play a key role in our mission to deliver innovative, sustainable packaging solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain sheet-fed printing presses, ensuring optimal production and print quality.
Perform setup, calibration, and adjustments on presses for various jobs, including paper feed, color registration, and ink viscosity.
Conduct quality control checks to maintain high standards for all printed materials.
Troubleshoot and resolve any press issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Complete daily machine logs, ensuring accurate documentation of production output and downtime.
Follow all safety protocols and contribute to maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
Work collaboratively with the production team to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Qualifications/Skills:
High school diploma or GED required; technical certifications are a plus.
Minimum of 2 years of experience operating sheet-fed presses (e.g., Heidelberg, KBA, Komori) in a high-volume manufacturing setting.
Familiarity with print specifications, color matching, and quality control procedures.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and quality standards.
Certifications in
5S, Six Sigma,
or related continuous improvement processes are preferred.
Work Environment:
Shift:
2nd shift (5 PM - 5 AM, rotating 2-2-3 schedule).
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in a noisy manufacturing environment.
This role may involve exposure to ink, solvents, and chemicals.
