Our client, a prestigious national law firm, is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Associate to join their Intellectual Property group. The ideal candidate will have experience in patent and trademark prosecution as well as IP transactions.

Candidate Profile:

JD

from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.

Bar Admission in Florida, Georgia, California, DC, New Jersey, or New York, as applicable.

2-5 years

of substantive

experience

in

patent and trademark prosecution and IP transactions (link removed)>USPTO registration number or patent bar eligibility is strongly preferred (link removed)>Excellent academic credentials and demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and practical judgment are required.

Experienced in

negotiating and drafting intellectual property transactions and software agreements a plus (link removed)>

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day prosecution dockets and prepare USPTO filings.

Conduct patent and trademark searches, prepare clearance opinions/advice, and respond to office actions responses.

Negotiate and draft IP transaction and software agreements.

Conduct IP due diligence for M&A transactions and prepare related documentation.Maintain effective communication with clients and collaborate with other lawyers within the firm.
