Senior Controls Engineer
to lead their experienced engineering team, focusing on requirements gathering, specification development, implementation, and testing of advanced automation solutions. In addition to mentoring others, you will have an experienced engineer to mentor you in this new position open to growth. What Youll Do:
Provide excellent customer service while leading an experienced engineering team to provide innovative industrial automation solutions.
Provide technical expertise to gather requirements, design, implement, test, install, and commission innovative solutions using Programmable Logic Controllers,
Human-Machine Interface, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition, and Distributed Control Systems.
Serve as a leader within the business group, solving problems, building relationships internally and externally, improving processes, and working cross-functionally.
Focus on three major areas: providing excellent service on projects already in process; developing additional projects with current clients; and fostering new business partnerships.
This position involves a combination of leadership, hands-on engineering, and providing effective customer solutions.
What Youll Bring:
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Computer Science or a combination of education and relevant experience.
Ten (10) or more years of experience
with some or all of the technical areas listed below.
In-depth knowledge of Emerson DeltaV platform, Allen Bradley PLC-5 to ControlLogix conversions, and other PLC hardware/software platforms such as Rockwell Automation, Siemens, and Schneider Modicon.
In-depth expertise in HMI/SCADA hardware and software platforms, for example,
servers, virtual machines, networks, ethernet protocols,
FactoryTalk and Plant Pax, AVEVA System Platform, AVEVA Edge, Inductive Automations Ignition, GE iFIX, Siemens WinCC, TIs API Portal,
batch processes, overall equipment effectiveness, manufacturing execution systems, ERP systems, AutoCAD, electrical schematics, control panels, power distribution, etc.
Effective Project Management skills
PMP certification is a plus.
A background in industries involving large, distributed control systems and solutions, for example, heavy manufacturing, biochemical industry, food and beverage manufacturing, water treatment systems, building automation, petrochemical plant systems, semiconductor plant systems, etc.
Experience leading and mentoring a team of engineers and technicians who provide control system solutions while also being a hands-on engineering leader in a customer-facing role.
Ability to travel up to 25%, mostly within the DFW Metroplex.
