PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center has a full-time opportunity for a paneled Family Medicine Physician in beautiful Longview, Washington. You’ll have the opportunity to make a difference in an underserved community and impact the development of the primary care services. The Lakefront Family Medicine Clinic includes family practice, same-day care, and select occupational health screenings. With incredible outdoor activities in the historic Columbia River Gorge or visit the nearby Pacific Ocean, Mt. St. Helens, and Mt. Hood. If you are looking for a community that offers amazing outdoor recreation but also enjoy quick access to big city amenities, then our rural practice could be a great place for you!

Highlights about the practice:

Schedule: 1.0 FTE: Full time, 4-to-5-days weekly, 34 patient contact hours weekly, with In-basket Nurse Practitioner support

Call: ~1:20, evening phone calls, to include one working weekend in the same day clinic once per quarter

Team: 8 Family Medicine Physicians and ~15 Advance Practice Practitioners

32 exam spaces, shared with Same Day Clinicians, the clinic is located on the campus of the hospital, with on-site digital x-ray

1:1 Medical Assistant ratio, seeing all ages, up to ~20 patients per day

Onsite: Social Workers, Dietitians, Clinical Pharmacist, Diabetic & Palliative Care Specialists, Phlebotomists, Behavioral health support services,

In-house Controlled Substance Management, and Chronic Care Coordination Teams

Forbes Magazine listed Longview as one of the prettiest towns in America due to its proximity to the Columbia River, Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument and many beautiful local parks. Lake Sacajawea, directly across from St. John Medical Center is in the heart of Longview. A gravel trail circumnavigates the lake and is just under 4 miles and can offer a quick, refreshing break on a busy day.

Our community is just a short one hour drive to the Pacific Ocean.

Longview and the neighboring community of Kelso have a combined population of ~65,000 residents. Our area has many locally-owned restaurants, coffee shops, brew pubs and national chains such as Target, Home Depot, and Wal-Mart. Along with a variety of grocery shopping options and April through October the Farmers Market is open.

Golf is also a popular sport in the area at the Longview Country Club, Mint Valley, and Three Rivers Golf Course.

The Federally Recognized Cowlitz Indian Tribe, of the Cowlitz people, is headquartered in Longview, Washington.
