Test various software components to ensure they meet business and system requirements, effectively communicating, documenting, and tracking system-related issues until resolution so that our customers' mission needs are met.
Essential Job Functions:
Test various software components to ensure they meet business and system requirements, effectively communicating, documenting, and tracking system-related issues until resolution so that our customers' mission needs are met.
Utilize principles of systems engineering, and other engineering disciplines to analyze and recommend solutions, and clarify system and software requirements/user stories.
Write and review test plans and detailed test cases for use in manually testing web applications.
Build and configure test environments.
Execute tests in both informal and formal witnessed test environments.
Perform software and system level testing on product builds.
Report detailed defects.
Prepare Test Reports.
Provide test status to project team and stakeholders.
Work collaboratively in an integrated SAFe Agile team environment.
Actively participate in reviews and answer customer questions at the end of an iteration.
Prepare for and actively participate in Program Increment System Demonstrations.
Desire to learn automation testing.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Minimum of a High School diploma plus 10 years of related experience, Associate's degree in related field plus 4 years of experience, Bachelor's degree in related field plus 2 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 1 year of experience.
Able to obtain DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Strong critical thinking, problem-solving skills.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Understanding of the software development processes.
Able to test and assure quality of software, and work with users of software in group or individual settings.
Ability to multi-task between multiple projects.
Experience with source control and defect tracking software tools.
Experience with a virtualization technology, creating and using windows based virtual machines.
Desired Skills:
Experience with the SAFe Agile Framework.
Knowledge and understanding of mission planning needs of military aviators.
Experience with using Azure DevOps.
