Standard Concrete Products, Inc. Is a progressive and growing manufacturer of prestressed and precast concrete products with three locations in the southeastern United States.Standard Concrete Products, Inc. is seeking to hire an entry-level engineer with a concrete management and/or civil engineering degree. Individuals must be willing to learn the prestress/precast industry and be willing to work on a rotation of engineering, estimating, quality control, and batch plant operation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Create product details that ensure conformance to contract drawings and operations/manufacturing criteria.
Create and modify 2D (non-model driven) CAD drawings using AutoCAD software.
Enter engineering-related data in engineering management software using Excel software.
Other responsibilities may include QC work and QC inspection.
Skills:
Applicant must understand AutoCAD and be able to perform material takeoffs
from their drawings.
Math skills and trigonometry are a must.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred – Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Concrete Industry Management.
Associate's/Technical degree and/or equivalent experience of a maximum of two years of experience in the precast/prestress industry.
