This position is located with the Department of Mental Health, Beckman Center for Mental Health Services, Laurens Mental Health Clinic, 442 Professional Park Road, Clinton, SC.

Under general supervision, performs a variety of advanced administrative and clerical duties which are critical in meeting Access to Care Protocols and to the general operation of the mental health clinic.

Responsibilities for the position of Administrative Specialist II, include, but are not limited to:1. Will adhere to Access to Care protocols to include: Completion of C-20's as appropriate, Managing a Will-Call list, and and making appointment reminder calls.2. Will manage scheduling for all telehealth and clinic-based patient appointments and Prescription requests.3. Will provide professional and courteous customer service to include: Answering the telephone timely and routine calls appropriately, greeting/orienting clients and visitors to the clinic, ensuring patients and visitors are seen for appointments in a timely manner. Maintaining a neat and orderly lobby.4. Ensures that all patients complete registration/intake per DMH policy and Quality standards. Provides patients assistance with voter registration.5. Ensures that patients receiving a self-pay reduction have submitted appropriate documentation. Will complete yearly financial updates on each client in accordance with SCDMH DoFS and Beckman policies and procedures.6. Will collect self-pay charges and make deposits in accordance with SCDMH (Department of Financial Services) policies and Procedures.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

State Minimum Requirements:

A high school diploma or GED.

Agency (Facility) Minimum Requirements:

A high school diploma and two years of clerical experience; or an associate degree in secretarial science or other related field; or three year's clerical experience.
