Senior Marketing Coordinator . This in-person position is crucial for the success of our Seattle region, acting as the lead for the Seattle marketing team while collaborating with our Marketing team in Portland, OR, and reporting directly to the corporate Marketing Director. We are looking for a self-starter with strong written and visual marketing skills, a friendly personality, and a hands-on approach to getting things done. Our next Senior Marketing Coordinator should be as invested in our company’s success as we are! While industry experience is a valuable asset for this role, our main focus is to find the right fit. Key responsibilities include managing proposal responses, overseeing regional social media, engaging with project teams to craft compelling storytelling experiences, maintaining marketing databases, updating cutsheets and resumes, and visiting job sites for project photography.A portion of the position responsibilities include:Frequently communicating and collaborating with corporate Marketing Director and Marketing team in Portland office about current workload and deadlines.Assisting Marketing team to achieve marketing communication goals and manage day-to-day implementation of marketing initiatives.Ensure that marketing materials accurately reflect the values, goals, brand identity and strategies of Walsh Construction Co.Maintaining regular and reliable in-person, full-time attendance in the Seattle main office.Project Pursuits :

Coordinate and provide writing and graphics for project proposals.Schedule project pursuit kick-off meetings, coordinate assignments for information requested, and actively manage writing, designing, and final production of all deliverables such as qualifications, proposals (RFPs), or other supporting documentation.Assist Client Relationship Manager in scheduling and organizing interview preparation meetings, as needed.Design and develop visual materials and presentations for project interviews.Engage in debriefs and support ways to improve processes.After proposals are complete, update templates including project cut sheets, resumes and standard language database to capture edits from the proposal into the marketing library.

Marketing Library / Data:

Actively track current and completed project data in an organized manner by gathering information from project team members. Maintain updated library of resumes. Regularly update resumes as projects are completed.Maintain updated library of project cutsheets.Visit jobsites to build up library of photos and stories capturing different stages of construction to be used for proposals. Maintain organized system for photos and stories to be used for proposals or marketing collateral.Maintain updated charts and graphics that aggregate Walsh’s performance across multiple projects (sustainability, meeting public funding requirements, etc.).In coordination with Client Relationship Manager, help maintain client contact database for references.

Maintain and protect brand standards throughout all communications.Develop and update collateral templates such as general corporate brochures, or market-specific or expertise-specific collateral.Support internal marketing with the creation or updating of materials for various departments.Awards and advertising:

Identify and track award opportunities for Washington region.Respond to and submit awards applications.Identify opportunities and implement advertising efforts through industry media platforms.Submit new hire and promotion notices to local publications.

Communications:

Assist corporate Marketing Director with internal and external company newsletters.Update company project and people information on the website, other updates as needed.Ensure projects are adequately recognized and marketed through internal communications and external platforms.Develop stories and imagery for social media postings, promoting our projects and people.Track engagement and provide input on social media calendar, campaigns, etc.

Photography:

Visit jobsites throughout construction for in progress photography.Coordinate with project team to secure final project photography, as needed.Responsible for taking initial employee headshots for the Washington region.Periodically coordinate professional employee headshots and updated stock imagery.Assist with purchasing and inventory of promotional items and client gifts.Coordinate tradeshow needs and manage registrations, collateral, handouts for conferences/events; occasional attendance required.Produce other items to market Walsh, as needed.Other duties as assigned.

You are qualified if you:Have experience working in the architecture/engineering/construction (A/E/C) industry (strongly preferred).Preferably hold a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, design, journalism.Are skilled with programs/software including but not limited to: Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign), Microsoft Office Suite, WordPress, social media management software.Have a minimum of four years working in a professional office setting.Have excellent visual design and design development skills.Have excellent grammar, spelling, editing and proofreading capabilities.Have excellent communication skills, including listening, speaking, and writing.Are willing to engage with coworkers to gather verbal information and put into written/graphic form.Are able to work both independently and with a team.Are skilled at tracking and meeting deadlines, staying organized, prioritizing tasks, and maintaining strong attention to detail.Are able to represent the company in a mature, professional way.Are skilled at working with a variety of people at different levels.Are a positive team player with the ability to multi-task, stay organized and maintain a strong attention to detail.Salary range $75,000 to $90,000 annually, depending on experience.Benefits include: Health, vision and dental.
