The design team member will support design and construction of assigned Weapons System Infrastructure & Capabilities (WSIC) projects to include major facility modifications, construction projects, and support equipment installation projects for the Trident II missile. During Design, the design team member will develop and review facility engineering design packages, including drawings and sketches, technical specifications, and cost estimates. Facility project designs will be evaluated for compliance with engineering principles and best practices, company standards and policies, customer contract requirements, and relevant specifications and regulations. During construction, the design team member will review and interpret construction plans and specifications to ensure alignment with design intent. Regular site visits will be conducted to verify that constructed facilities meet design specifications and company requirements. Any construction deviations or deficiencies will be identified and reported to the project team, and corrective actions will be ensured.Please note that this position does NOT support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Silverdale, WA, and will be expected to work in the office.Basic Qualifications:
To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5+ years of professional experience;Knowledge of construction codes, regulations, and industry standardsAbility to read and interpret facility design drawings and specificationsAbility to work on multiple projects in parallelYou will need to be a US Citizen (no dual citizens), and
be able to
obtain
and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance , to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.No clearance is required to apply but an Interim Secret clearance is needed prior to start.Desired Skills:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $82,200 - $157,500. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.Benefits offered:
