High Tech Genesis is hiring a Wind River Deployment Engineer to design, develop, and automate edge deployment infrastructure for edge computing and 5G networks. The role focuses on efficient deployment and management of NFV resources and requires expertise in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, automation, and Wind River Cloud Platform.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of Windriver Controller and compute deployment for Open RAN (DU) and Core NF’s
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver high-quality products
Build the Automations i.e playbook for the Continuous Deployment
Ensure the automations adherence to best practices and coding standards
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner
Minimum Requirements:
Proven experience 5 to 8 years in deploying the platform using Windriver for Open RAN (DU/CU) and Edge Network Functions
5+ years of experience with knowledge on 5G wireless/cellular systems
Understanding of ORAN/vRAN architecture, protocols, and interfaces (e.g., O-RAN Alliance specifications)
Strong understanding of cloud architecture, networking, and security
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Ansible, for playbook
Experience with virtualization technologies and Wind River cloud platforms is highly desirable
Experience with Installing/Configuring the Windriver platform with Samsung DU deployment is a distinct advantage
Knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized network functions (CNFs) for edge cloud infrastructure
Experience with Wind River Cloud Platform, particularly in deploying and managing Distributed Units (DUs) for telecommunications networks
Proven experience in migrating from VMware to Wind River platforms, including execution, and troubleshooting of migration processes
Experience in VMware
Experience with software development tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps)
Knowledge of Windriver Analytics
Proficiency in using automation and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, Ansible, or Terraform
Desired Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Certifications: Wind River Certification (if available)
Cloud-related certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer
Linux administration certifications (e.g., RHCSA, RHCE)
Soft Skills:
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and presentations skills
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in cloud environments
Effective communication skills, capable of articulating technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
