Sr Accountant, Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting

Rubrik is seeking a team-oriented Senior Accountant of Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting to join our fast-growing and dynamic company. This role will initially report to the Senior Director of Technical Accounting and Financial reporting and will have the opportunity to assist in the SEC filing process of a newly public company and solve for technical accounting issues. Where you can make an impact:
• Lead the preparation of our Form 10-Q, Form 10-K, and Form 8-K including review of iXBRL tagging
• Perform accounting and close activities which may including stock-based compensation accounting, capitalized software, cloud computing arrangement, debt, and any other nonstandard transactions
• Understand and apply relevant new accounting pronouncements, complete related technical accounting memos and financial impact assessment, and assist in assessing financial and operational implications
• Ensure work performed adheres to the SOX
• Assist with the management of our external financial statement reviews and audits
• Recommend and assist in the implementation of process improvements, as appropriate, to standardize and streamline processes while ensuring compliance with US GAAP
• Assist with or be responsible for other duties and ad-hoc projects
Ideal background:
• Bachelor or higher degree in accounting
• CPA qualification
• 3+ years in accounting related experience with minimum 1 year in Big 4 public accounting experience
• Strong stock-based compensation / Equity Accounting
• Problem-solver and analytical thinker
• Ability to adapt to change and learn quickly, work independently and cross-functionally, and project manage and prioritize work to achieve objectives and timelines
• Effective written and communication skills
• Reliable and responsive to stakeholders and requests
• Experience in the technology industry
• Experience with Workiva, Equity Edge Online, Netsuite, and Coupa is a plus
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

The minimum and maximum base salaries for this role are posted below; additionally, the role is eligible for bonus potential, equity and benefits. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the role based on U.S. location. Within the range, the salary offered will be determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US Pay Range
$98,000—$147,000 USD
