In this role, you will collaborate closely with our research, algorithm, and product management teams to identify, define, and optimize the algorithms that drive the WHOOP experience for our members. You'll have the chance to contribute to high-impact projects that not only drive key business metrics but also enhance the overall member experience.RESPONSIBILITIES:
Define product strategy and roadmap for the Signal Processing team at WHOOP, ensuring clear, measurable goals and criteria, all guided by a human-centric vision.Collaborate closely with Product Management, Signal Processing, Data Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, and Membership Services to breakdown and prioritize members needs, acting as the ‘voice of the member’.Establish product requirements, including well-defined success criteria that can be effectively communicated and translated for the technical teams responsible for algorithm development.Develop strategic approaches for large-scale data collection to assess field performance, while simultaneously gathering member insights and feedback through regular research and testing.Lead market analysis and benchmarking to stay informed on industry trends, develop business cases for new product ideas or algorithm changes, and ensure that product requirements remain best-in-class.Develop a deep understanding of WHOOP's algorithms to effectively identify when and why changes are necessary, and communicate those data-driven proposals to internal stakeholders.QUALIFICATIONS:
Over 4 years of experience in product management, with exposure to signal processing or data science algorithm development, preferably on a health-focused hardware platform.Experience with algorithms and backend data pipelines, able to collaborate effectively with highly technical and scientific team members and stakeholders.Strategic problem solver and creative thinker. You can break down ambiguous problems and apply a first principles approach to solving them.Strong communicator. You can crisply communicate complex concepts to all audiences.Excellent organizational skills, able to juggle several initiatives/projects simultaneously.Scrappy and resourceful. When something needs to get done, you find a way to make it happen.Extraordinarily fast learner. You have the natural curiosity to deeply understand new topics and pick up new skills in a very short time.Consistently positive attitude, highly self-motivated, undeterred by challenging feedback or the occasional need to send things back to the drawing board.High bar for quality, and you know what great work looks like.This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA.
