We are a collaborative network of child therapists, psychiatrists, PMHNPs, case managers, school staff, community partners, and other mental health professionals working toward a common goal. Job Descriptions/Duties The Chief Operating Officer (COO)

plays a strategic role in driving operational effectiveness across the organization, identifying opportunities for improvement, and ensuring the organization is well-positioned to fulfill its mission. Reporting to the CEO, the COO will serve as a trusted partner in organizational leadership, promoting a high-performance culture and ensuring that processes are efficient, aligned, and supportive of long-term goals. This position calls for a leader with strong project management skills, business acumen, and the capacity to oversee and optimize various operational areas.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership and Culture Development

Serve as the CEO’s right-hand person, contributing to organizational planning and acting as a key decision-maker when needed.

Promote a cohesive and mission-driven culture that aligns with organizational values and fosters staff engagement, growth, and collaboration.

Drive cultural initiatives that support employee well-being, engagement, and retention.

Operational Efficiency and Improvement

Lead efforts to identify and implement improvements across the organization, from process optimization to resource utilization, ensuring operational practices are streamlined and cost-effective.

Work with Chief Officers (COG) on various departments to assess workflows, uncover inefficiencies, and implement solutions that enhance service delivery and organizational performance.

Working as a team with COG to adopt practices that reduce costs and improve service quality, working closely with department heads to implement changes effectively.

Compliance, Risk, and Quality Assurance

Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in operations, privacy, and security, including acting as Corporate Compliance Officer, Privacy Officer, and Security Officer.

Coordinate organizational readiness for accrediting and licensing activities, establishing and updating procedures that meet regulatory and quality standards.

Oversee risk management initiatives, providing guidance on policies and protocols that support a safe and compliant environment.

Team Leadership and Project Oversight

Work with COG to ensure other departments have what they need to be successful, provide leadership to business department teams, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and fostering a collaborative environment.

Lead strategic projects aimed at advancing organizational goals, supporting team efforts to meet objectives, and implementing changes to address community mental health needs.

Represent the CEO and organization in external meetings as necessary, serving as a trusted ambassador in community, professional, and public engagements.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related field preferred but not required.

A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in senior operational or leadership roles, ideally within healthcare, nonprofit, or related fields.

Strong expertise in project management, strategic planning, and organizational operations, with demonstrated skill as a process-oriented thinker to drive system and workflow improvements.

High level of executive presence, emotional intelligence, and leadership skills to drive and inspire a positive and inclusive organizational culture.

Familiarity with quality improvement frameworks and a strong understanding of efficient operational practices across multiple functions.

Preference for experience working with an Electronic Health Records (EHR) platform.

Location

We have four locations in Stark County including downtown Canton, Belden Village, Alliance, and Plain Township. This position is at the Canton/Shipley office.

Salary Range/Compensation:

Will vary based on education, experience, and skills.

Hours: Full-time position. 40 hours/week.
