As we continue to grow and serve our customers with excellence, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Counsel to join our team.The Legal Counsel will be responsible for performing and overseeing all legal aspects of Murdoch’s and its operations. That includes providing strategic legal advice to the leadership team, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, overseeing contract negotiations, and managing litigation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business law, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.This position is located at the Home Office in beautiful Bozeman, MT.As a Murdoch's Team Member in this role, you will...Provide proactive legal advice and strategic guidance to the Leadership Team and all departments on a wide range of legal issues.Ensure the company complies with all applicable laws and regulations, including employment law, consumer protection law, and industry-specific regulations.Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.Advise on corporate governance matters and ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including vendor agreements, leases, construction contracts, software and technology contracts, and marketing programs, and provide strategic analysis as required.Oversee and manage all litigation and dispute resolution matters, working with outside counsel as necessary.Develop and implement company policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and best practices.Conduct training sessions for employees on legal topics relevant to the business, such as compliance, intellectual property, and contract management.Manage relationships with outside legal counsel and coordinate their services as needed.
