HOW A SENIOR LINUX SYSTEMS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Design and define system architecture for new or existing computer systems
Contribute to completion of specific engineering programs and projects
Develop solutions to a variety of complex engineering problems
Perform complex systems design, development, and integration from the start of a systems life cycle to the end
Oversee complex infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools
Perform complex systems modeling, simulation, and analysis
Prepare and maintain documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects
Maintain current knowledge of rapidly changing technology
May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals
May serve as a team or task lead
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
EDUCATION: BA/BS or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
QUALIFICATIONS: 8+ years of related experience
CLEARANCE: Active TS/SCI clearance required and able to pass a CI polygraph
REQUIRED SKILLS: Linux systems administration
DESIRED SKILLS: A deep expertise in one of the following areas and working knowledge of one or more of the other following:
Operational support
Virtualization technologies (VMware, virtual networking, vROPS, XenServer/XCP-ng)
Red Hat Enterprise Linux, YUM, Satellite, Capsule technologies
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Ceph storage platform

The likely salary range for this position is $161,500 - $218,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
