Job Description
Overview:
As the E-commerce Merchandising Analyst, you will be responsible for optimizing the online catalog by managing product data, photography, attribution, taxonomy and maintaining high-quality site standards. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong data analysis skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Product and Catalog:Manage item set-up, product data, navigation filters, on-site recommendations, category creation, and product publishing, using Excel to manage and manipulate product data.Own the catalog data across US, CA, Employee Purchase, EU, and additional international sites, leveraging Excel for data management and analysis.Write and optimize product descriptions and website copy, ensuring accuracy and detail.Upload and manage product images, matching photography style guides. Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with the photo team, and improve processes using Excel to ensure website accuracy.Merchandising Execution:
Develop, implement, and optimize on-site search functionalities to improve product discovery, conversion, and the overall customer experience.Own the sorting logic and setup on-site; adjust, configure, and proactively find opportunities to increase engagement across all Digital Touch points.Utilize Excel to analyze performance metrics, optimize grid performance, identify product trends, and address gaps in the product offering.Analyze sales and engagement data using GA4 and Excel to understand weekly, monthly and quarterly performance and trends.Quality Assurance:
Support ongoing site quality assurance (QA) and product activations, ensuring accurate catalog data by conducting audits through Excel.Collaborate with the IT team to ensure seamless integration of new products and updates on the website.Develop and maintain product taxonomies and attribute data to enhance search relevancy and user experience.Conduct regular audits of the product catalog to ensure accuracy and completeness.Monitor the site for bugs and collaborate with technical partners and cross-functional teams to resolve product-related issues promptly, tracking issues and resolutions in Excel.Qualifications:
BA/BS degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or related areas of study required.2-3 years of experience in site merchandising and analytics, preferably in a multi-channel retail or e-commerce environment.Prior experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud is essential.Experience in GA4 and/or Bloomreach is a bonus.Strong proficiency in Excel for data analysis and manipulation, with experience managing large data sets. Excellence in vlookups, pivot tables, countifs, and other basic functions for data management.Strong sense of urgency and ability to find solutions quickly and independentlyHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and fast-paced meet deadlinesExtreme attention to detail and the ability to multitask efficientlyStrong aptitude for learning new tools and for technical workflows, with advanced knowledge of Excel functions and formulas.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
