Summary
Star Pipe Products is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst with experience in machine learning and data analytics to join our team. This entry-level role is suited for individuals with two to five years of experience. The Data Analyst will support the sales and supply chain departments by analyzing data, building predictive models, and providing actionable insights using Snowflake, Alteryx, and Tableau.
Essential Functions
Analyze sales and supply chain data to uncover trends and anomalies
Develop predictive models and create dashboards to support business decisions
Collaborate across departments for data preparation, preprocessing, and actionable insights
Duties and Responsibilities
Work across departments to enhance data collection processes and improve data usability, ensuring data is actionable and integrates effectively into advanced planning models
Collect, clean, and preprocess data from various sources using Alteryx and Snowflake, maintaining and supporting the data architecture
Develop and implement machine learning models for sales forecasting, inventory planning, production scheduling, and supply chain optimization
Build and maintain dashboards and visualizations in Tableau to present findings and insights, effectively communicating with non-technical stakeholders
Monitor and evaluate model performance, refining models as needed to improve accuracy and reliability
Education/Experience
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field in the US
2-5 years’ experience in a data analytics role
Must have work experience in Machine Learning (ML)
Knowledge, Skills, Licenses, Certifications, Etc.:
Required:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Experience with machine learning concepts, algorithms, and techniques
Hands-on, working knowledge with Python (e.g. Pandas, sklearn) and SQL in a data analysis capacity
Experience with demand forecasting is a plus
Basic knowledge of Tableau or a similar data visualization tool
Experience with Alteryx and Snowflake is a plus
Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
